yes not saying it can not be done but from a company's point of view it most likely will not be a option due to the workload of doing it and most like the cost otherwise you will have a lot of games on the market getting game engine updates and hardly any new games cause it would take a lot of time to update and make sure no bugs and issues happen. Ive done this before with Cities Skylines because I dont want to buy 100 DLCs for the game. It's just easier to start from scratch and might even be cheaper to build a whole new game. I'm sorry you can't get that high :/ one day you will, and I bet planet coaster 2 will come out at some point in the future, its gonna be an amazing day when frontier announce that.
